East Penn SD board approves routine agenda items, personnel and curriculum measures

The board approved the minutes of the Feb. 24 meeting, accepted personnel actions (including retirements and an assistant-principal resignation), approved business-operations items A–F (including a use-of-facilities request from Dorney Park and Wildwater Kingdom for leadership training), approved requests for educational conferences, adopted the 2025–26 student-teacher calendar (third reading and adoption), and approved the district’s 2025–28 comprehensive plan.
All votes on the items listed above were recorded as unanimous (9–0) by Ms. Allen when the roll calls were called. Administration also announced retirements and a resignation: Lori King (special education teacher, 21 years), Linda Christman (staff assistant, 34 years), Pam Cannon (food service staff, recently retired after 11 years) and the board accepted the resignation of Jordan Fortier, assistant principal at Emmaus High School.
The board met in executive session before the meeting to discuss litigation and personnel. The board’s next regular meeting is scheduled for Monday, March 24 at 7:30 p.m. in the same room.
