The board’s resolution was “passed and adopted by the Imperial County Board of Supervisors on this March 2025 by affirmative roll call vote,” the document introduced at the meeting states. Supervisors recorded unanimous votes of “Yes” for Districts 1 through 5 during the roll call.
Chairman John Hawk and other supervisors praised Spieler’s long service and cited improvements to county roads during brief remarks. The board presented Spieler with the resolution in the meeting chamber; family members including his son were present, supervisors said.
Action taken was ceremonial and did not create new policy or expenditures.
