Resident urges council to reconsider water rate increase ahead of May vote

She told the council she had contacted the Arizona Corporation Commission in the past and was told the commission could not act because Queen Creek operates its own water utility. Durant suggested the town consider targeted assessments or other measures so higher‑use entities are not disproportionately affected. The council did not respond substantively during public comment other than to note the May 7 date; no formal action was taken during the meeting.
