"We can never solve it by ourselves as the police department. We have to have great partners, and it's about collaborating with the community," Bryce said while calling up representatives and officers for recognition.
He named officers who took part in the operation at the meeting: Helms, Cordova, Tenorio, Lopez, Akers and Fernandez, and invited company representatives to join them for a photo with council. The chief said most of the arrests were for felony charges and that the recoveries came from the short enforcement period that targeted organized retail theft.
The council thanked officers and businesses for the partnership; no formal action or vote was recorded on the recognition.
