Planning commission approves Show Low Cafe liquor permit despite landlord-tenant dispute

The Show Low Planning and Zoning Commission unanimously approved Conditional Use Permit 60204271 at its February 2025 meeting, allowing Show Low Cafe, operated by applicant Cody Lawyer, to serve alcoholic beverages other than beer and wine at 480 W. Deuce of Clubs (APN 210-09032 A).
Planning staff recommended approval, saying the request is consistent with the City of Show Low General Plan and the property’s C-2 general commercial zoning. Staff noted transmittal memos were sent to affected agencies and property owners within 300 feet; no applicable agency comments were received that would preclude approval. The City Council previously recommended approval of the applicant’s application to the State Liquor Board in October 2024.
