District adopts Panorama survey platform to collect stakeholder voice; board approves initial contract

"Our goal would be to implement this spring to establish a baseline," she said.
Administrators told the board the initial cost for the partial year is $5,945, an amount available in the current year’s budget; an annual partnership cost of approximately $22,000 would be incorporated into future budgets. The district was also informed recently by the state that Panorama may replace the "5 Essentials" survey, eliminating duplicate administration.
Board members asked about language support, data security and parental notification. Administrators said Panorama supports Spanish and multiple other languages and that the district will enter a Student Online Personal Protection Act (SOPA)‑compliant agreement to protect student data. "We will look at it in the aggregate and can break it down by certain groups," a district official said; they added that identifiable student data used for targeted interventions would be protected and used only for follow‑up services when appropriate.
After discussion about rollout, timelines and training, the board voted to approve the adoption of Panorama. Board members stated their intent to use baseline data to inform school and district improvement planning and to incorporate survey results into existing strategic goals.
