Nogales libraries join CulturePASS program, offering free entry passes to museums and parks

Library Supervisor Martinez told the board that Nogales and county library branches will participate in Act 1’s CulturePASS program, which provides free admission passes to about 19 museums, botanical gardens and cultural sites across Arizona.
“Each ticket counts for 2 entries, and it's valid for a week,” Martinez said. Patrons with a library card can pick up a pass at the front desk when displays are set up; staff said the list of participating sites will be available online and at library displays. Martinez said participating sites include the University of Arizona Museum of Art and Tucson Museum of Art, the Desert Botanical Garden in Phoenix, Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art and a children’s museum in Tucson.
Board members asked about limits on use. Martinez said the program allows one pass per week per library branch, meaning a single patron cannot check out a pass from Nogales and then get another from Rio Rico until the first pass expires after a week.
The library staff said they will email board members links with additional program details.
