Broken Arrow recognized at United Way Live United Awards; council to host March 25 meet-and-greet

City officials said Broken Arrow was recognized at the United Way’s Live United Awards for its fundraising efforts and community support.
Vice Mayor Johnny Parks said the city was acknowledged as a top business-level fundraiser and that the city’s committee and local nonprofits were credited for the result. “They got us up on the stage and, and read about how what we had done in the city of Broken Arrow,” Parks said.
Aaron McCullough noted that the recognition reflects local nonprofit strength and that United Way funds support organizations including the senior center and history museum. McCullough also announced a city-hosted meet-and-greet scheduled for March 25 at 6 p.m. at the Union Eighth Grade Center; he said the event will be roughly two hours and open to all residents.
