HHC board approves 2025 agency economic impact plan on supplier diversity, 7-0

The Health and Hospital Corporation board unanimously approved its 2025 annual agency economic impact plan, which the corporation must submit to the City of Indianapolis Office of Minority and Women’s Business Development.
Felicia Rosen, supply diversity director for the Health and Hospital Corporation, presented highlights including board training on supplier diversity and a planned shift to annual supplier-diversity refresher training for staff (the corporation currently refreshes most staff every three years). Rosen said the corporation intends to move the annual refresher recommendation into 2025 after internal system changes, rather than implementing it in 2024.
Rosen also reported an overall decline of 2.62% in diverse spend from 2023 to 2024. The office said the decline was “negligible” and that an internal review will examine where the decrease occurred across the supply chain. The plan includes outreach, strategy development and internal training to support supplier diversity goals.
The inclusion, diversity, equity, and accessibility committee had moved the plan to the board for approval. Roll-call voting recorded all trustees in favor; the motion passed 7-0.
