The Assembly Governmental Organization Committee adopted its committee rules and advanced three bills on the consent calendar to the Appropriations Committee.
The clerk called the consent calendar that included AB 77 (Aguirre Curry), AB 233 (Gibson) and AB 720 (Rogers). A motion to place those measures on the consent file and to pass them to the Appropriations Committee was made and seconded; the clerk recorded the ayes and announced that the consent calendar passed, noting the roll would remain open for absent members.
The committee then moved to adopt its rules for the session. The committee rules were moved by Assemblymember Gibson and seconded by Assemblymember Soria. The roll was called and the clerk announced that the committee rules were adopted; the roll was left open for additional members to register their votes.
The committee adjourned after taking those actions and conducting two additional bill hearings later in the session.
