Robert Clarkson of Bay County code enforcement said the application was returned for two corrections and that the building department’s correction timeline (statutorily six months from the correction notice date) applies to keep the application open. The county reported a deadline in August for the corrections to be submitted; Clarkson said if activity slows or no further action occurs the county would bring the matter back for compliance review.
Clarkson said the property owner, Mr. Pierre, and his structural engineer were actively working to provide the requested corrections; the engineer stated he would expedite if possible. The magistrate found that the applicant had submitted paperwork and that the statutory review period applied, and said the magistrate would revisit the case if the corrections are not completed within the allowed time frame.
