The Star City Council on March 18 approved a resolution authorizing the mayor to sign a renewed joint powers agreement (JPA) with Ada County to formalize cooperation on street naming, address numbering and application transmittal review.
Staff said the city’s prior agreement with Ada County had expired and the updated JPA ensures continued coordination for address assignments and application routing where Ada County services or jurisdictions intersect with the city. The council adopted the resolution by unanimous vote.
Mayor and council members did not identify objections; the resolution was approved and the mayor was authorized to execute the JPA so staff could transmit the signed agreement to Ada County.
