Granbury council fills vacancies on Historic Preservation Commission and Building Standards board

The Granbury City Council on March 18, 2025, appointed Patty Carraway and Kevin Scroggins to the Historic Preservation Commission and appointed Angela Parker to the Building Standards Plumbing Adjustments and Appeals Board. The council confirmed the appointments by voice vote; each vote was recorded as unanimous (6-0).

Patty Carraway and Kevin Scroggins were nominated to fill vacancies on the Historic Preservation Commission. City officials said both candidates meet the commission’s requirements. The council moved and seconded the nominations and approved the appointments without recorded opposition.

Angela Parker was nominated to the Building Standards Plumbing Adjustments and Appeals Board to help fill specific expertise gaps the council identified—positions for trades and insurance representation. Councilmember Wadley introduced Parker’s nomination and the council approved it by voice vote. Jamie Stamper, a Granbury-area resident who also applied, spoke to her qualifications: she said she has worked in insurance and risk-management consulting for most of her career, serves on local committees, and has experience with client risk-transfer and coverage review. Stamper told the council she has lived in the area for about 12 years and works on commercial risk consulting for contractors, owners and engineering clients.

Council members noted that some board seats require specific trades (electrician, plumber, insurance agent) and that remaining vacancies may be filled as further applicants come forward.
