Council approves multiple plats, appointments and easement closings; adopts supportive resolution for anti-human-trafficking initiative

Broken Arrow City Council on March 25 approved multiple routine and land-use items including conditional plats, a planned-unit development, reappointments and easement closures, and adopted Resolution 16-41 recognizing a community anti-human-trafficking initiative.
Land-use approvals and plats - 3 Oaks conditional final plat: Approved. The plat proposes 41 lots on approximately 12.34 acres located north of East Washington Street and east of 20th Street; staff recommended approval based on prior comp-plan and zoning actions. - Timber Ridge conditional plat: Approved. The plat proposes 41 lots on roughly 35.3 acres south and west of the Southwest corner of Albany and 307th Street; staff said engineering coordination resolved earlier connectivity concerns and recommended approval. - PUD1983-2025 (Bent Tree Lift Station): Approved. The PUD facilitates acquisition of roughly 9.6 acres to secure a future regional sanitary sewer lift station; engineering staff said the station would be sited closer to the creek and screened, and that only about an acre would be fenced for maintenance.
Appointments and reappointments - Reappointment of Robert Goranson (listed as Robert/‘Bob’ Morrison in staff notes) to the Planning Commission for a 3-year term through 05/01/2028: Approved. - Appointment of George Ghesquiere (several spellings in packet/transcript) to the Board of Adjustment for a 3-year term through 03/01/2028: Approved.
Easement closures and ordinances previewed - Closure/abandonment of approximately 10-foot waterline easement requested by Tulsa L Development LLC (property south of Tucson Street and west of Elm Place): Council previewed and set ordinance for adoption. - Oakmont Hills easement closures (two 15-foot easements north of Florence Street east of Ninth Street): Council previewed and set ordinances for adoption.
Other items - Resolution 16-41: Council approved and authorized the city to execute a resolution recognizing and supporting a motivational community initiative (anti-human-trafficking awareness). The resolution will prompt the administration and public-safety staff to explore local participation and summit planning.
Each item was moved, seconded and approved by roll call where recorded. Several items were presented by Community Development Director Rocky Hinkle and other staff. Details such as lot counts, acreage and term expiration dates were supplied during staff presentations.
