A board member reported progress in recent meetings with Kansas City, Mo., elected officials and the KCMO Parks Department on the Crestview land matter and said the board has reached conclusions on sidewalks around two elementary schools.
“Madam president, I was just gonna touch on the emerging issues that we, we met with the KCMO and some of the, KCMO electeds and, that was not that long ago. We discussed the Crestview land discussion with KCMO Parks Department. They were present. And I think that there's been some progress with that, which was a good discussion,” the board member said.
The same liaison said the board believed progress had been made on sidewalks near two elementary schools. The liaison also referred to an item on the consent agenda involving Hodge Park and discussed the status of a district purchase: “I believe this evening, Hodge Park, we've finally purchased that thing, right, after the consent agenda?” Another board member responded, “We haven't closed quite yet,” and a follow-up comment in the meeting referenced a target of “By May 1.”
The transcript provides no additional details in this excerpt about the Crestview land matter, the sidewalk improvements or the purchase timeline for Hodge Park. No formal action or vote on these items is recorded in the portion of the meeting captured in the transcript.
