McKinney announces Jennifer Arnold as next assistant city manager; Trevor Minyard has been serving in ACM role

The City of McKinney announced Tuesday that Jennifer Arnold, the city’s director of planning, will become an assistant city manager and is scheduled to start Monday, City Manager Mr. Koski said during the city council work session.
Koski said the council entered executive session under Texas Government Code sections 551.071 and 551.074 and charter section 34 to consult about executive personnel matters and that the session followed a national search to replace outgoing Assistant City Manager Kimberly Flom, who is leaving to take a position in De Pere, Wisconsin. “I—m pleased to announce that Jennifer Arnold, our director of planning, is going to be our next Assistant City Manager. She will start Monday,” Koski said.
Koski also told the council that Trevor Minyard has been serving as an assistant city manager for about a month after the position formerly held by Greg Connolly, director of public safety, was reclassified into an assistant city manager role and Minyard stepped into that position. Koski said staff will issue a notice to city employees and the public the following day.
The work session began with no public comments and moved quickly into executive session; the council reconvened and adjourned shortly afterward.
