The Decatur Planning and Zoning Commission voted to recommend that the City Council approve a replat of 3480 Tom Lambert Boulevard, a commercial parcel in the Eagles Landing business park, during its meeting.
Lisa, a city planning staff member, described the item as a replat submitted by the Economic Development Corporation for a commercial property and said it was on the consent agenda with no public hearing because of its commercial zoning. "So this is Replat for the Economic Development Corporation for 3480 Tom Lambert Boulevard. Since it's commercial, no public hearing, and it is on our consent agenda," Lisa said. She also noted the area being replatted and pointed to where the World Tower would be located on the southern end of the lots.
The commission moved and voted on a recommendation to City Council. Commissioner Will Clossey was identified as the mover and Commissioner Terry Baruvi seconded the motion. The chair called for the vote; the record shows three "aye" responses and the commission moved to recommend approval to the City Council.
During the agenda's other business, Lisa said the department is processing additional applications. "As of now, we have 4 new planning applications coming forward for the next meeting. We're staying busy," she said. The meeting also included a staffing note that Pam will be out of town and that Paul Liston, described as her law partner, will attend the April 1 meeting in her place.
The replat recommendation proceeds to the City Council for final action; the City Council meeting date and any council vote were not specified in the transcript.
