Committee lays over technical cleanup for Cuyuna Country State Recreation Area advisory board

Representative Davis presented House File 78, a technical bill concerning the Cuyuna Country State Recreation Area (CCSRA). The proposal would remove the statutory representative for Croft Mine Historical Park from the CCSRA Citizens Advisory Council because the park has been permanently closed and the prior council seat is vacant.
Representative Davis told the committee the change would reduce the advisory council membership from 13 to 12 and that the Croft Mine Historical Park site on the southern side of the city is planned for partial conversion to housing. He described the bill as technical and said he would welcome DNR comment; no DNR representative raised objections during the committee's discussion.
Committee members had no questions and the sponsor requested the bill be laid over. The committee laid House File 78 over for possible inclusion in a future omnibus bill.
