The sponsor offered a floor amendment that struck a Senate Health and Public Affairs Committee amendment; she said she had coordinated the change with relevant committee chairs. The amendment was adopted by voice vote and the bill passed by a recorded floor tally announced at 40‑0.
Supporters said the changes would permit expanded donation flows while maintaining handling and safety protocols described in the bill text. The measure now proceeds to enrollment.
