The Joint Finance-Appropriations Committee approved two technical corrections early in its meeting.
First, the committee adopted corrected language for the Department of Administration—s FY2026 budget that clarifies the governor—s housing stipend will be funded from the Permanent Building Fund, a fund established in code for maintenance and construction of state facilities. The motion passed by unanimous consent and carried a due‑pass recommendation.
Second, Legislative Services analyst Janet Jessup described a correction related to the Department of Lands. An enhancement for salary‑split adjustments had been included in the committee—s table but was inadvertently left off the written motion; the adjustment nets to zero and does not change total FTP or general‑fund obligations. The committee approved the net‑zero correction unanimously; the motion will carry a due‑pass recommendation.
Both corrections were presented as technical clarifications and do not change the overall appropriation totals previously agreed by the committee.
