The Monroe City Council on March 11 voted to table consideration of the City of Monroe’s proposed insurance plan for fiscal year 2025–26 after staff requested more time to gather information.
“Staff is requesting that this item be tabled. We want to get some additional information before it comes before the council, and until at least April,” said Lisa Hallowell, who introduced the item for staff. Council members moved to table and the motion was seconded; the council approved the tabling by voice vote.
City staff said they will return with additional information before the council takes formal action. The council did not vote on any coverage changes, spending levels, or contract terms at the meeting.
