Ocala CRA board reviews FY2023–24 annual report; audit pending

The Ocala Community Redevelopment Area Agency Board received a presentation on its fiscal year 2023–24 annual report during its March 18, 2025 meeting.
Roberto Ellis, economic development manager, told the board the annual report covers projects that advanced during the year ending Sept. 30, 2024, including Tucker Hill infrastructure improvements, the Heritage Trail, Marion Heights infrastructure work and a neighborhood park in the North Magnolia CRA area. Ellis said 24 grants were approved in the fiscal year with a combined value of approximately $1,000,000, and that four of those grants will facilitate the creation of 65 affordable housing units.
Ellis said the annual report must be published each year by March 31 and that publication will occur after completion of the audit component. "Upon completion of the audit, the report will be published to our CRA website," he said.
Board members did not offer substantive edits or questions during the presentation. The report as presented will be finalized for posting once the city completes its audit.
The annual report is the CRA’s primary public summary of project work, grant awards and development activity for the fiscal year; the board heard the highlights and was invited to comment before publication.
