Skagit County Public Works plans full rollout of electronic ticketing; officials cite beta testing and staff support

Skagit County Public Works announced plans to transition to a fully electronic ticketing system, with county officials saying they have been beta testing and plan a full rollout on the 19th. "We've been working on beta testing, and we're planning on rolling out fully, on the nineteenth," said Mike See, interim public works director.

Rachel Rowe, Area Operations Division Manager for Skagit County Public Works, said the county intends to support both riders and staff through the change and is doing a series of presentations to explain how the system works. "We are transitioning to a fully electronic ticketing system next week and the goal is to make this as easy as possible," Rowe said. She added that staff are working to resolve bugs discovered during testing.

County officials did not specify the month in which the 19th falls. Rowe said the presentations and recorded materials are intended to help riders who prefer to review information later. County staff named "Lee" as one of the staff members assisting with the rollout but did not provide Lee's full title in the meeting.
