Lubav Sheeep Davis, president of Friends of Deer Hollow Farm, presented a short update during the commission's oral communications period on March 12, summarizing fiscal-year-2024 support for the farm and its education programs.
Sheeep Davis told the commission that the friends group provided $20,000 in support for Deer Hollow Farm, roughly $43,000 for animal care, about $38,000 in farm enhancements and operations support, and about $37,000 to fund scholarships for students across Silicon Valley, which the speaker said supported approximately 875 students from Mountain View schools across six schools. Sheeep Davis said the purpose of speaking was to "put a face with the name" and to be available to answer questions about the organization's activities.
Commissioners thanked Sheeep Davis and encouraged the public to attend spring farm tours; staff also noted continued partnership with the Community Services Department.
What happens next: The friends group and staff said they will remain available for questions and ongoing coordination; no formal action was taken.
