The Lamar City Council approved an updated agreement with the YMCA on March 18 for operation of the city’s outdoor pool. The administration presented a revised contract that increases the annual management fee to $4,000 (up from $3,000), clarifies invoice submittal procedures and sets a three-year initial term with automatic one-year renewals after the original term.
City staff said the city will incur all operating costs and receive all revenue associated with the outdoor pool under the agreement. The administration recommended council approve the updated agreement; council voted in favor by voice vote.
The administration said the changes follow discussions between city staff and YMCA representatives and were presented as staff’s negotiated updates to the existing management arrangement. Council thanked the YMCA representatives for attending the meeting.
