Ada County procurement opened bids March 18 for the Expo Idaho South parking lot lighting circuit replacement and reported two responsive proposals, then requested additional time to evaluate the submissions.
Procurement staff read the two total bid amounts into the record: Pacific Source Electric submitted a total bid of $935,385; Power Plus Incorporated submitted a total bid of $1,269,993. Procurement noted the bid total in the record would include the base bid plus an owner's contingency of $120,000.
After the bid opening, procurement asked the board to table award of bid 25040 to the board's March 25 open business meeting to allow staff time to complete evaluation. A commissioner moved to table the item to March 25 and the motion passed on a unanimous voice vote.
Procurement said it will return to the board on March 25 with a recommendation following its review of the two proposals.
