Colorado POST grant for sheriff’s office ammunition: The board approved a Colorado Peace Officers Standards and Training (POST) FY26 reimbursement grant submission for the sheriff’s office for ammunition in the amount of $5,082. The county administrator noted the grant was submitted by the sheriff the previous day and that it is a reimbursement grant. A commissioner moved to approve the grant application and another seconded; the board approved by voice vote.
IGA with Pueblo Community College: The board approved an intergovernmental agreement allowing Pueblo Community College to use the county police academy shooting range. County staff described the IGA as a risk‑management agreement to clarify expectations and limit liability; staff noted there is no cost to the college for use. A commissioner moved to enter the IGA and another seconded; the board approved by voice vote.
The Hazard Mitigation Planning Grant item was passed over for future action (no county signature required at the meeting).
