The Huron City Commission approved an added agenda item, 8.2, authorizing an irrigation repair and extension project along the Campbell Park boulevard.
Chad Schroeder, who described the construction aspects, said crews will repair irrigation on the west side of the sidewalk and extend irrigation along the boulevard from Fifth to Seventh Street. Schroeder said sleeves were placed under the concrete trail during prior pours to facilitate later irrigation installation and that city staff (Jim and Jake referenced) will perform the work.
The commission approved the item by roll call after Schroeder’s presentation.
Why it matters: the repairs restore irrigation disrupted by earlier construction and will reestablish landscaping along a high-visibility boulevard area. Staff said in-house crews will complete the work using the sleeves placed under the trail during earlier construction.
Next steps: city crews will proceed with the irrigation installation and repairs in the boulevard area between Fifth and Seventh streets.
