Joe Baker, chair of the Committee on Capital Planning, reported the committee’s recommendation to award IFB 72020-0425 for the Hanahan Elementary School HVAC replacement and roof repair to Triad Mechanical Contractors, Inc. for a project total of $2,255,000. The recommendation was approved by the full board with a recorded voice vote of 7–0.
Baker also presented a recommendation to award IFB 72424-25 for complete door and hardware replacement to Lock Dock Security for an initial one-year term of $51,055, with potential additional four one-year terms that together could total $255,275. The board approved that award by voice vote, recorded as 7–0.
The board’s capital planning committee report and subsequent approvals appeared on the meeting agenda and were adopted without further amendment. No additional financing details beyond the award amounts were provided in open session.
