Huber Heights parks panel schedules February 2026 art show; public-art RFP and summer programming discussed

The Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee of the City of Huber Heights voted to place a February 2026 art show on next year—s calendar after members reviewed participation and attendance numbers from this year—s event.

Committee Chair Mason said the group should use metrics when planning volunteer-run events, adding, "I am a person of metrics and data. I always wanna know how did we do, what were the numbers, was this successful." Park ranger Sarah provided the committee—s figures: "We did have 24 enrolled, and then we had 3 no shows ... so we ended up with a full 22 artists coming and displaying," and she estimated attendance "north of 250" visitors based on a clicker count of about 235.

Those results, members said, supported repeating the show. A motion to put a February art show on the committee—s 2026 calendar passed by voice vote; members indicated all were in favor.
