The Blaine City Council on March 17 confirmed appointments to several boards and commissions after reviewing roughly 30 community applications.
City Clerk Kathy Sorensen presented the nominations and council read the recommended appointees by board. The appointments approved included: Natural Resources Conservation Board (Carolyn Panning, Jane Rafferty, Doug Gramstad, Michael Miernes); Park Board (Christopher Pulseth, Jeff Lester, Tanya Liskowski, Amanda Shacker); Planning Commission (Jacob Gieselhart, Jason Howard); and Charter Commission (Ashton Ramsammy, Jason Howard, Trace Ludwig).
Council members thanked residents for applying and noted this was one of the largest application pools in recent years. Council Member Newland moved acceptance of the nominations; Council Member Masolia seconded. The motion passed by voice vote.
