City orders park-ranger vests, issues pepper-spray training and plans portal integration

Staff also discussed plans for a software program the committee had previously reviewed. The city is updating its website and will have a new complaint portal. Staff said the city wants to ensure any third-party park-ranger data system (discussed earlier as the Wash Tower program) will integrate with the new website portal before the city adopts it.
Committee members asked how rangers access previously approved promotional funds for neighborhood-watch materials. Staff said the process is invoicing and that staff will facilitate requests with the finance group.
