Davis County commission approves HUD grant application, court security contract and multiple interlocal agreements

Davis County Commissioners on June 3 approved a package of administrative actions including the county pplication for a $5,000,000 U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development Continuum of Care grant (with a required 25% local match), authorized a notice of sale for a surplus parcel identified as tax ID 120370092 (the West Point Drain), accepted multiple receivables for court security and law-enforcement service agreements, and approved the county ging Area Agency—our-year plan year 3 covering fiscal 2025—026.

The most consequential item was the commission pproval to apply for the HUD Continuum of Care competitive grant. Kent Anderson, director of Community and Economic Development, told the commission the county would request $5,000,000 and, if awarded, would return with a separate agreement for acceptance. Anderson said the county plans to use other federal funding as part of the 25% match requirement. The board voted to authorize the application as presented.

Also in the community and economic development report, Anderson announced a notice of sale for county surplus real property, tax ID 120370092 (referred to as the West Point Drain), located off Cold Springs Road near the Immigrant Trail in Schneider—luff.
