Murray said the request is compatible with surrounding uses but not with the Tall City Tomorrow plan; staff received no objections and recommended approval.
The applicant did not appear and no members of the public spoke for or against the request. Commissioner Sparks moved to approve the rezoning; Commissioner Martin seconded, and the motion passed 7-0.
The rezoning clears the way for manufactured-home uses on the site; staff also noted a concurrent replat is being processed for the property. No additional conditions or legal authorities were cited during the hearing. The commission closed the public hearing and issued its recommendation to proceed to the next steps required by the city's process.
