Collin County Commissioners Court approved most items on its consent agenda, approved a separated personnel item, and recessed into executive session to discuss sheriff's office servers.
At the start of the meeting the court moved to consider the consent agenda as a single vote. A commissioner asked to hold item 1g4 for comment; the court then voted to approve the remaining consent items. The court later returned to item 1g4. Commissioner Hale congratulated employees who were receiving promotions and moved to approve item 1g4; the motion was seconded and carried.
Commissioner Hale named the employees promoted in item 1g4 as Angela Montes, Brent Ferry, Carlos Arenas and Sherry Lewis. The court approved the item "as presented," and the motion passed with the usual ayes and no recorded opposition on the floor.
The county then recessed the Commissioners Court and called to order the Health Care Foundation, which considered a consent agenda. A motion to approve the Health Care Foundation consent items carried 4 to 0.
After adjourning the Health Care Foundation meeting, Commissioners Court reconvened and recessed into executive session under Chapter 551.076 of the Local Government Code to discuss servers in the sheriff's office. The court stated it would not take action in executive session and later adjourned from executive session.
No formal votes on policy or procurement were reported from the executive session during the public meeting.
