HRA outlines online application changes and EBT/SNAP enhancements during pandemic

On SNAP, Jermaine said the agency has removed interview requirements for applicants and is working to verify identity and residency records as needed; if verification is incomplete, benefits can still be issued at a reduced level pending follow‑up.
Jermaine described an “enhanced SNAP benefit” approved by higher authorities that raised payment levels for many households in April and May to the maximum allotment; he said the increase was being processed automatically and recipients did not need to submit claims.
