The Finney County Board of Commissioners approved a parcel plot for the Rodeo Chateau property at 315 South Taylor Avenue following a staff presentation and Planning Commission recommendation.
Planner Dante Thompson told the board the 1.38‑acre property is zoned RR (Rural Residential), contains a water well and will require building permits before construction of a home can begin. Thompson reported the Planning Commission reviewed the third submittal on Feb. 14 and recommended approval at its Feb. 20 meeting. The board moved, seconded and approved the plat by voice vote.
During discussion Commissioner German asked whether the lot would connect to municipal water; Thompson responded the property will have an on‑site domestic well and will be served by city sewer. Thompson noted a building permit will be required before construction.
The motion passed by voice vote without further conditions. Staff indicated the applicant or owner must obtain the required building permits and follow county zoning and subdivision regulations before construction begins.
