VALLEY COUNTY — The Valley County Board of Commissioners on March 17 approved two routine items: a purchase order for a one-ton work truck package and an agreement to allow a second company to submit electronic recordings to the county clerk.
The board voted to approve and sign a purchase order with Cascade Auto for a one-ton pickup with a work bed and Tommy lift gate to be used by county road crews. County staff presented two bids; officials said Cascade Auto’s total package was the lower quote. A motion to approve the purchase order was moved and seconded and passed by voice vote. The board recorded an authorized amount of $74,097 in the motion, though staff discussed other bid figures in the record including a routing-sheet figure and a separate bid from Mountain Home Auto Ranch.
The board also approved an agreement with eRecording Partners Network to provide an alternate e-recording option in addition to the county’s existing vendor, Simplifile. Rush Miller, the county clerk, described the change as expanding customer service options for electronic filing of recorded documents. A motion to approve the agreement (identified in the meeting as “option 2” for e-record documents) was moved and seconded and passed by voice vote.
Both measures were presented as budgeted or within current financial plans: the vehicle purchase was described by staff as included in the capital improvement plan and budget for the county crew that will use it. Commissioners did not request further follow-up for either item at the time of the votes.
