Councilmembers said much of the work is already under contract or has been bid; the new authorization covers remaining streets the administration proposes to include for bidding this season. Don Gentile, the city engineer, told council the remaining scope includes Fairmount Boulevard from Brainerd to Som and a short street, Lewis Drive, plus miscellaneous point repairs and concrete slab fixes. Gentile said some projects are incorporated with sanitary-sewer contracts and others were bid out last fall.
