The Senate approved first reading by title of House bills transmitted in House Communications 381 and 382 and referred them to committee, and it adopted standing committee reports numbered 1075 through 1079, the body announced on the floor. Senator Wakai moved the first-reading action and Senator DeCorte seconded; there were no objections and the motions were carried.
The clerk informed members that Governor-signed legislation was reported to the Legislature: House Bill 1440, House Draft 1, was signed into law as Act 1. The clerk also announced a 4:30 p.m. deadline that afternoon for filing standing committee reports on House bills with triple referrals.
Senator Wakai also moved for adoption of standing committee reports 1075–1079; the motion was seconded (recorded as Senator DeCord on the transcript), and adopted without objection. Later in the session Senator Wakai moved that the Senate stand adjourned to 11:30 a.m. the following day; Senator DeCorte seconded and the motion carried by unanimous consent.
Attendance on the floor was noted as 24 present and 1 excused earlier in the session.
