Grain Valley teachers ask board for districtwide plan-time protections, elementary stipends and review of child insurance costs

McMahill said teachers use plan time for timely parent communication, assessment and peer collaboration but that “this is time that is not consistently given or protected.” She asked the board to authorize a committee to examine expectations for required participation outside contract hours and the daily minutes teachers can access for plan time.
