Commission recommends renewing fire-training memorandum of agreement with Grayland Consulting and Training

The Kenai Airport Commission recommended that the City Council authorize a memorandum of agreement with Grayland Consulting and Training LLC for use of the Alaska Regional Fire Training Center.
Staff reported the proposed agreement is the same as last year's arrangement: Grayland Consulting and Training conducts fire training at the regional facility, state employees and local firefighters use the training to maintain certifications, and the airport receives a percentage of the fees charged to users.
Commissioners had no additional questions; the commission approved a recommendation to the council by unanimous consent.
No roll-call vote was recorded at the commission level and staff recommended continuing the existing relationship under the same terms as the prior year.
