Staff described specific changes made since the draft: an added focus on consistency and cohesion across buildings in the K–8 facilities project section; a new graduation‑related goal and project under “educational excellence”; language clarifying recruitment strategies to reach diverse educator candidate pools; and an explicit project goal related to safety and security (staff said they avoided operational detail in the public plan for security reasons but included the objective).
Officials said the plan has been posted for public review and that the public comment period closes at the end of the 30‑day review window; staff said they plan to submit the package to the Pennsylvania Department of Education by March 30. Board members praised the stakeholder outreach and noted the plan is intended to guide district goals and be reflected in department and building‑level goal‑setting.
The board will vote on final adoption at its next regular meeting; staff said additional implementation details — such as performance measures and the district dashboard that will track year‑over‑year progress — will be incorporated into operational plans and annual goal cycles.
