Tipton County updates progress on new school construction; '25 delivery still targeted

District staff provided a construction update, reporting that structural footings are complete and major systems are in place on the new school project, and that the district remains hopeful to meet a 2025 delivery target if weather and labor remain favorable.

Ron Schland, identified in the meeting as the project's senior project manager, told the board structural footings are finished and about 10,000 square feet of flat work remain. Schland said plumbing, roofing and HVAC work were each about 60% complete; structural walls were about 65% complete, structural steel about 60% and waterproofing roughly 50% complete. He also said underground utilities are tied into city systems and noted the team was preparing for tap-permit work.
