Council receives committee updates: planning commission schedule, Spine Trail and Park & Ride/transport options discussed

The committee also plans to resume spring trail work at Jordanelle State Park under existing grant funding and to pursue wildlife-corridor protections in future development agreements.
Transportation and Park & Ride: Councilmember Carol Aselton reported on Wasatch County general-plan outreach and on increased Park & Ride usage during ski season. Councilmembers discussed evolving transit needs tied to ski-area parking changes — Deer Valley will shift parking to East Village and Canyons is building a new parking structure — and asked staff to monitor opportunities for additional direct bus service to Canyons base and East Village and to coordinate potential Richardson Flat parking as a future park-and-ride location.
