The goal sounds admirable, the pathway sounds, you know, feasible. However...let's let the parents pay for their kids," he said, and registered a no vote when prompted.
The chamber also received a reminder from the chair about a triple-referral filing deadline for committee reports due to the chief clerk's office by 7 p.m. the same day. The House stood adjourned until 12:00 noon the following day after Representative Morikawa moved and Representative Garcia seconded the motion to adjourn.
