Staff (Ron) inspected the site and initially found no major issues; committee members asked staff to re-inspect following recent windstorms to see whether conditions have changed.
Committee members also said Ron and staff plan to inspect an oak tree in Little Hunting Creek Park next week to assess stability and hazard concerns. The committee asked staff to confirm whether the trees pose risks to the nearby right-of-way and to report back.
A resident offered a large pine tree that germinated from a seed and grew in a container; the resident has moved to a smaller yard and asked whether the city could use the tree. Staff asked for a photograph and will evaluate whether the city can transplant the tree and whether access/logistics make it feasible.
No votes were taken. Action items include follow-up inspections by staff and an assessment of whether to accept the donated tree.
