The Conterra agreement allows Conterra Ultra Broadband LLC to operate and maintain fiber in the city of Sulphur. The MetroNet item, described on the agenda as VEXUS Scribe LLC d/b/a MetroNet, will permit expansion of fiber infrastructure to serve the city. Both introductions drew no public speakers and were approved on roll-call votes during the meeting.
Council members asked no substantive follow-up questions during the hearing. The motions were introduced, seconded and approved by the council; the items were recorded as introductions of ordinances to be executed consistent with franchise terms.
