RPC approves five new street names for Indian Road subdivision

The Pahrump Regional Planning Commission on March 12 approved five proposed street names for Phase 1 of the Indian Road Subdivision (SN 25-1). Planning staff reported that the names had been vetted with internal departments, utility providers and the U.S. Postal Service and that they complied with Nye County naming standards.
Staff recommended, and the commission approved, the names Foxtail Place, Fox Ridge Street, Fox Meadow Street, Foxgate Avenue and Foxwood Avenue. Staff noted that where Fox Ridge and Fox Meadow are shown to run through future phases, suffixes and continuity were adjusted to match county code and to avoid conflicts with existing street names. Emergency management and the mapping administrator reviewed the proposals.
