The Syracuse Landmark Preservation Board listed a major site-plan review for 400 Burnett Avenue on March 13 but the applicant was not present. The board discussed whether to proceed and decided to ask for supplemental materials and to continue the matter.
Board counsel and staff noted that the submission lacked sufficient detail on how new storefront openings would be cut and how proposed finishes would relate to adjacent buildings. The board asked staff to request additional drawings showing storefront cut-in details, finish colors and material samples so members can assess visual compatibility with the streetscape.
Because the applicant was not present, the board did not take a final position and will revisit the application once the requested information is supplied to staff. The matter remains open and subject to further board and staff review.
